ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Football is the most popular and widely played sport in Croatia. With so many football academies to choose from, making the right decision for your child can sometimes be difficult. The NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac Youth Academy is here to make that process easier by helping parents understand the key criteria and ensuring they can make the right choice when bringing their child to train at our club.

The NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac Youth Academy is based on four fundamental elements:

Our training sessions will improve:

Self-confidence through constructive and positive feedback.

Overall fitness, endurance, flexibility, strength, speed and agility.

Technical football skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing and ball control.

Game awareness and positional understanding.

In a positive and welcoming environment where children feel accepted, they will develop not only physically but also as individuals. They will socialise and, through situations both on and off the pitch, learn how to react appropriately and at the right time.

Our qualified coaches and educators provide children with the support they need to enjoy training and look forward to every session.

The Youth Academy is one of NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac’s key priorities. The club continuously invests in high-quality coaching staff and strives to provide the best possible conditions for young footballers.

Training sessions are held across three pitches at the Stjepan Spajić Football Centre. The continuous growth in the number of children and increasingly strong results show that we are moving in the right direction.

Who can join the NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac Youth Academy?

Boys and girls of all ages can join the Youth Academy, from complete beginners to advanced players. Programmes are adapted to different age groups and levels of ability.

At what age can a child start training?

Children can join the Youth Academy from a very young age through our introductory groups. As their motor and football skills develop, they gradually progress into competitive age categories.

How can I enrol my child in the Youth Academy?

Enrolment is available:

by coming to a training session in Siget
through the contact form on the website
by sending an email to: skola.nogometa@nkhrvatskidragovoljac.hr

After receiving your enquiry, the club’s coaching staff will contact you with further information.

Where are training sessions held?

Training sessions are held at the NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac pitches in Siget, Zagreb, according to the schedule for each age group.

How often are training sessions held?

Depending on the age group and category, training sessions are held between 2 and 5 times per week, with weekend matches and tournaments for competitive teams.

Who leads the training sessions?

Training sessions are led by licensed coaches with experience in working with children and young players, in accordance with the Croatian Football Federation’s programme.

Do children take part in competitions?

Competitive teams participate in official leagues and tournaments, while younger age groups take part in developmental competitions and football festivals.

Is official club equipment required?

Official NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac equipment is used for training. When starting out, basic sportswear, football boots and shin guards are sufficient.

How much is the monthly fee?

The monthly fee is €60.

The fee includes regular training sessions according to the Youth Academy programme.

Is a medical examination required?

A valid medical examination is required for both training and competitions, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Can parents attend training sessions?

Parents may attend training sessions in accordance with club rules, while respecting the coaches’ work and the children’s training process.

Is a trial training session available?

Every child has the opportunity to attend a trial training session before making a final decision about enrolment.
